Blackhawks Ship Out 1st Round Pick Nicolas Beaudin

The Chicago Blackhawks sent two more players to their respective junior teams on Friday morning, including 2018 first round pick Nicolas Beaudin.

Beaudin, who was selected with the pick the Blackhawks acquired in the Ryan Hartman trade with the Nashville Predators, will report to the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL, and forward MacKenzie Entwistle, acquired in the Marian Hossa trade with the Coyotes, is heading to the OHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.

The Blackhawks also sent seven more players to the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, with defensemen Lucas Carlsson, Blake Hillman, and Darren Raddysh all heading west. Forwards Jacob Nilsson, Henrik Samuelsson, and Nathan Noel will also be heading to the IceHogs, along with goaltender Kevin Lankinen.

With the roster moves, the Blackhawks now have 44 total players on their roster, and will need to trim it down to 23 players by the time camp ends.

The Blackhawks will next be in action on Friday night when they play the Ottawa Senators at 6:30 p.m.
