Stanley Cup Shows Up at Pride Parade

This was the second year the Cup made an appearance at Chicago's gay pride parade

Lord Stanley's Cup made its second appearance in Chicago's gay pride parade on Sunday.

The Blackhawks won their third Stanley Cup title in six years this season, and the Cup has been making the rounds in Chicago since their victory.

The trophy was carried on WGN Radio's parade float, along with Blackhawks representatives and Ice Crew.

"Having The Cup at the parade is important because it shows the Blackhawks continued support of the LGBT community," team president Andrew Sobotka told ChicagoPride.com. "It's also important to have The Cup there because it's an exciting time for the city, and it should be celebrated by everyone."

Attendance for Sunday's event was estimated at around 1 million people.
