Mass. Governor Makes Good on Stanley Cup Bet

Deval Patrick volunteers at Chicago Food Depository

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick can thank his Boston Bruins for the day of work he put in Tuesday.

Patrick lost a bet with Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn based on the outcome of the Stanley Cup, and made good on the wager by volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Patrick and Quinn both rolled up their sleeves and helped out at the not-for-profit's food distribution and training center.

If the Blackhawks had lost the series, Quinn would have been volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Depository.

The Stanley Cup is scheduled to make a visit to Springfield later this summer to spend some time with state lawmakers.
