Flames Eye Kane

Patrick Kane is ready to ignite the Blackhawks against the Flames.

The defending Stanley Cup Champions head into Calgary in 11th position, one spot behind the Flames and several positions outside of the playoff picture.

"Every game's important," said Patrick Kane following Sunday's practice. "We've got some tough games ahead of us, but hopefully we can be ok and we can get in."

The Calgary Sun lists Patrick Kane as the player to watch in Monday night's matchup. Kane's scored six goals and 14 points in his career against the Flames.

Kane's record stands out, but a warning to Calgary, watch out for Jonathan Toews.

The Blackhawks captain is HOT! He's racked up five points since the All-Star break and Toews holds a pretty good advantage on the Flames as well with a career total of eight points in 13 games.

The Blackhawks won nine of the last ten regular-season matchups between the two teams. To make it number eleven, they need to dominate the power play and dominate the third period.

"We've got to be better no matter where we play from here on out," said Blackhawks Head Coach Joel Quenneville.
