Daniel Carcillo Visits With Family of Fallen Firefighter

Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Daniel Carcillo has made it a point to help others in his post-hockey career, and on Tuesday he continued to do that as he visited the family of Chicago firefighter Daniel Capuano.

Capuano, who passed away while fighting a fire earlier this month, was a huge hockey fan and coached youth teams, and on Tuesday Carcillo spent time coaching and skating with some of those players, including Capuano’s family.

Carcillo posted pictures from the day on his Instagram feed:

Earlier this month, the Blackhawks held a moment of silence prior to a game to honor Capuano, and they also donated Split the Pot proceeds to the Daniel Capuano Memorial Fund during the contest.
