Blackhawks to Saskatchewan?!

Jonathon Toews might have a chance to visit his namesake lake in Saskatchewan --- yes, that said Saskatchewan -- when the Hawks head up north next season for their first preseason game.

Only halfway through the season and preparations already underway for the Blackhawks in 2011-12.

The team announced its first pre-season game against the Edmonton Oilers in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Last year, Manitoba, which is located outside the province, named a lake after Toews, because he's so awesme.

The teams plan to play at the Credit Union Centre, the home of the Western Hockey League's Saskatoon Blades.

If you want to book your plane tickets now, the date is September 20, 2011. Plan for jet lag though, the shortest flight from Chicago is about 29 hours, according to FareCompare.com.
