President and CEO John McDonough and Hockey Hall of Fame Curator Phil Pritchard will add the championship ring to a special display on Friday in Toronto

The Chicago Blackhawks are donating a 2015 Stanley Cup ring to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

In a news release, the Blackhawks say team President and CEO John McDonough and Hockey Hall of Fame Curator Phil Pritchard will add the championship ring to a special display on Friday in Toronto.

The display already holds rings donated by Stanley Cup Champion teams dating to 2007, including Blackhawks rings from their 2010 and 2013 titles.

The exhibit also includes the first Stanley Cup ring, from 1893, and former Blackhawks player Bill Hay's ring from the team's 1961 Stanley Cup.
