Blackhawks Ask Fans to Decide Fate of Stanley Cup Ice With #MyIceGoal

The Chicago Blackhawks have asked for help from fans in deciding the fate of the United Center ice they won the 2015 Stanley Cup on.

The team announced during the Blackhawks Convention over the weekend that the ice from Game 6 – the ice they won their first championship title in more than 75 years on – will be repurposed, according to Crain's. But they’ve asked for fans to help decide how.

Chicago-area kids asked Blackhawks players a series of questions during a seminar at the Blackhawks convention over the weekend. NBC Chicago’s Peggy Kusinski moderated the event.

Fans can share their ideas for what the team should do with the ice by using the hashtag #MyIceGoal, the team said.

The team tweeted earlier that the convention was "just a tease," but the campaign will be open to everyone via social media.

The team sold $99 vials of melted ice taken from the United Center after winning the 2013 Stanley Cup championship.

While the #MyIceGoal campaign hasn’t been promoted by the team since the convention, we’ve gathered a few of the many suggestions posted to social media so far.
