Blackhawks Announce Roster for Outdoor Alumni Game vs. Wild

The Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild will take their burgeoning rivalry outdoors in February when the two teams battle in a Stadium Series game at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, but the teams will also contest an alumni game as part of the festivities.

On Tuesday, the two sides announced their rosters for the game, and the Minnesota roster will re-ignite memories of the heated battles Chicago used to engage in with the North Stars. Dino Ciccarelli will suit up for the Minnesota squad, and Mike Modano will also take part in the game.

Opposing Modano and company will be a team of Chicago players that hail from several generations of Blackhawks greats. Jeremy Roenick and Chris Chelios will both join the Blackhawks’ squad, as will Hall of Famer Denis Savard. 2010 Stanley Cup winner Brent Sopel will also take the ice for the Blackhawks, and 2013 Cup winner Jamal Mayers will hit the ice as well.

The team will be coached by a pair of Hawks legends, as goaltender Tony Esposito and broadcaster Pat Foley will be behind the bench for Chicago.

Here is Chicago’s full roster:
