The Chicago Blackhawks are focused on improving their team via free agency and trades as the NHL free agent signing period has begun, but on Wednesday the team also has plenty of prospects that could make an impact next season.
Those prospects will put their skills on display in July as the team announced the dates for their annual Prospect Camp. The event will take place from July 12-17, and it will be held at Johnny's IceHouse West, which is located just west of the United Center.
Numerous prospects will be making appearances at the camp, which is open to the public. 2014 first round pick Nick Schmaltz will likely be among the participants, as will players like Ryan Hartman and Mark McNeill. There is also a real possibility that new players like Kyle Baun and Artemi Panarin will also be on the ice.
Rosters for the camp will be announced at a later date.
