AP -- Authorities have ticketed a central Illinois woman who they say drove a car into a crowd at a fireworks show. One man died in the accident.
Woodford County Sheriff Jim Pierceall said 85-year-old Ruby Kennell of Roanoke was ticketed Monday for failing to slow down as she tried to drive away from Friday's fireworks show in the small town. Pierceall said the accident remains under investigation.
Steven Hodel, 60, of Roanoke died after he was struck by the car. Two other people were treated at a local hospital.
Kennell declined to comment on the accident Tuesday.
