Wife Survives Husband's Shooting Rampage

CHESTERTON, Ind. (NWI Times) -- A Chesterton woman is alive today only because a bullet her husband fired at her moving car missed her by inches, Chesterton police said.

Police and coroner's officials said the Friday night shooting involved a man who chased his wife's vehicle and fired one or more shots. One shot broke the driver's side window of the woman's car, traveled through the car's interior and became lodged in a post on the passenger's side, Chesterton Police Chief George Nelson said.
