Pedestrian Struck by Outbound Metra Train

A person was struck by an outbound Metra train Wednesday afternoon in northwest suburban Palatine, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The person was struck by Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train No. 617 about 1:30 p.m. near Baldwin Road in Palatine, according to Metra spokesman Michael Gillis.

ChicagoBreakingNews.com reports that the person has died.
