A man was injured when a porch collapsed on the South Side in the Bronzeville neighborhood Tuesday morning.
A still-and-box alarm was called about 9:10 a.m. after the front porch of a 2-story apartment building at 4219 S. Prairie Ave. collapsed, according to Fire Media Affairs Cmdr. Will Knight.
A man was injured and has been taken to an area hospital as a trauma patient in serious-to-critical condition, Knight said.
Crews secured the scene as of 9:25 a.m. Further details were not immediately available
