J.P. Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge to Reroute Downtown Buses on Thursday

The J.P. Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge will take place from 6:30 p.m. until approximately 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.  As a result, the CTA Loop bus routes traveling in the vicinity of the race will be impacted with intermittent delays or reroutes. The race steps off at 7:10 p.m. 

The course route will close:  Michigan Avenue between Congress and Roosevelt, Columbus between Wacker and Roosevelt; Lower Randolph between Columbus and Lake Shore Drive; and Wacker Drive between Lake Shore Drive and Columbus.

The following 19 CTA routes are expected to be detoured to adjacent streets:

CTA will have extra personnel available on the system as needed to assist customers with reroute information.

CTA is advising customers to allow extra travel time.  To speed travel, customers are encouraged to buy farecards in advance with sufficient value or to add enough value to their existing farecards (either the Chicago Card or magnetic strip farecard) for their return trips later in the day.

 

Estimated arrival times for buses that are temporarily rerouted may not be available via the Bus Tracker web site.
