Ebert, Wife Donate $1 Million to U of I
Film critic Roger Ebert and his wife have donated $1 million to his alma mater, the University of Illinois.
The money will go toward the creation of the Ebert Program for Film Studies at the school.
Fundraising continues until a goal of $5 million is reached, at which point the Ebert Center will house a newly-launched department of media and cinema studies.
