Chicago Marks Arbor Day

Something new will be making an appearance this week on the Magnificent Mile.

A 30-foot-tall Triumph Elm tree, from the Morton Arboretum, will spend the week at Michigan and Illinois in honor of Arbor Day, which is Friday.

The tree will be covered in green ribbons that have messages from Chicago Public School students, explaining how one tree makes a difference to them.

The tree will then be moved to Grant Park for a more permanent home in Hutchinson's Field, where President Barack Obama madehis victory speech on Nov. 4.
