The FBI says the alleged "Daybreak Bandit" has been arrested and will make an initial court appearance this afternoon.
No details surrounding the arrest are being made available at this time, but will be described in the criminal complaint, which has not yet been filed.
The FBI issued a press released and wanted flyer on Monday which detailed past robberies. A second release, with information on a Wednesday bank robbery in Joliet, eventually led to an arrest, Special Agent Ross Rice said.
License plate numbers from vehicles in a parking lot near the bank helped officers locate the man later in the day, the Joliet Herald News reported. Police reportedly found a large amount of currency the suspect was trying to burn in the fireplace of a Matteson home as police closed in.
