What would downtown look like if the city completes its $15.5 billion revival plan?
A massive plan to revitalize downtown Chicago includes an underground transportation center to connect the CTA, Metra and Amtrak; a new West Loop railway, softening the Oak Street curve on Lake Shore Drive, bus-only corridors built on abandoned railways, an expanded riverwalk and more.
The planned completion date is 2016, whether the city gets the Olympics or not.
