Pre-Gamer: Seahawks vs. Bears

After a monumentally bad week, the Bears have a chance to take control of their destiny with a win over 6-7 Seattle. They are barely hanging on to playoff hopes, and then Sam Hurd went and got arrested.

So yeah, a feel-good win is desperately needed. Read on for everything you need to know before kickoff on Sunday at noon.

Moving on
: The arrest of Sam Hurd was a shock for his Bears teammates. They learned out about it from television reports. They will need to move past this arrest to focus on the Seahawks. Add that on top of injuries to the top two offensive players and a heartbreaking loss, and this is a team that has been shaken. By the end of the first series, it should be apparent if they are in a football frame of mind.

Ready to Run? Last Sunday, Marion Barber ran for 108 yards, his first 100+ yard game since 2009. He also had two huge errors late in the game. With Matt Forte unlikely to play, the Bears will have to rely on Barber again. Third stringer Kahlil Bell will get more touches, but the run game will fall Barber's back.

Stopping Beast Mode: Making Marshawn Lynch ineffective will be the defense's most important task. The running back has three straight 100+ yard games heading into Sunday's game. If the Bears can't cool that streak, the game will get out of hand quickly.

Lining Up: The offensive line has regressed significantly since Jay Cutler's injury. Part of the problem is that Caleb Hanie holds onto the ball too long, but the line needs to hold. They will be challenged by Chris Clemons, who has nine sacks, and youngster K.J. Wright, who has sacks in the last two games.

Injury report: The Bears have hinted that Matt Forte could be back, but it seems unlikely. Charles Tillman and Henry Melton have both missed practice, but are expected to play on Sunday.

History lesson: This the 13th time the Bears and Seahawks will meet, including two games last season. They last met up in the playoffs.
