Sunday Night Football Bus to Tour Illinois This Weekend

The bus has become iconic, as the best players in each SNF game get immortalized on the vehicle's exterior

With Sunday Night Football returning to Soldier Field for the first time in six years, football fans will get the chance to see the iconic bus that accompanies the showcase event around America.

The bus, which will arrive in Chicago in time for Sunday’s game between the Bears and Minnesota Vikings, will make a pair of public stops while it’s in the Land of Lincoln.

The bus will first head to Champaign for Saturday’s college football clash between Iowa and the University of Illinois. The Illini are in a tough spot, as they need back-to-back wins to close out the season if they want to become bowl eligible under former Bears head coach Lovie Smith.

After that, the bus will head back north to Chicago, where it will be parked at Soldier Field for the NFC North showdown. The bus will be parked on the Southwest Lawn beginning at 4:30 p.m., and will remain there until after kick-off.

The Bears will host Sunday Night Football for the first time since 2012, and will battle the Vikings with first place in the division on the line. Kick-off is slated for 7:20 p.m., and the game will air on NBC 5 Chicago.
