Chicago Bears Now 7th-Most Valuable NFL Franchise

The Chicago Bears may not be having a lot of success on the football field as of late, but they are still thriving when it comes to raking in the cash.

According to a new valuation from Forbes Magazine, the Bears are now the NFL’s seventh-most valuable franchise, with their worth sitting at a cool $2.85 billion according to the magazine.

That is up $150 million from their $2.7 billion valuation in 2016, when they were the eighth-most valuable team in the league.

The Dallas Cowboys are still far and away the most valuable franchise in the NFL, and they remain the world’s most valuable team as they clock in at $4.8 billion. The New England Patriots ($3.7 billion), New York Giants ($3.3 billion), Washington ($3.1 billion) and the San Francisco 49’ers ($3.05 billion) round out the top five.

The Bears are still the most valuable sports franchise in Chicago, but they’ve got some serious competition for that title. Back in July, the Chicago Cubs’ valuation was estimated at $2.68 billion, as the defending world champions are beginning to parlay new features at Wrigley Field into serious coin.
