The Bears game was disappointing and infuriating, but there were some people on the field who really stood out.
The Grizzly Bears -- the players who spent the day gnawing on the Packers like a stinky wheel of cheese
Olindo Mare -- Hey, welcome to the Bears, Olindo! And thanks for not being super terrible like Mason Crosby.
Brandon Marshall -- Marshall's first-quarter touchdown catch gave Bears fans plenty of reasons to stand and cheer. He stiff-armed Packer defenders on the way to the end zone. It was one of the last reasons to be happy until the moment we were just happy the game was over.
Mike McCarthy -- The Packers coach handed the Bears a gift when he tried a poorly executed, badly-timed fake punt. Chicago couldn't capitalize on that gift, but that doesn't make McCarthy's gift any less meaningful.
The Teddy Bears -- The players who were nothing more than Cheez Whiz.
Alshon Jeffery -- The rookie learned a hard lesson on Sunday. Sometimes, the referees aren't going to see everything. But he didn't adjust, and he didn't make a single catch.
Matt Forte -- He was given many chances to shine on Sunday but couldn't take advantage of them. He ran for 69 yards, but again couldn't get in the end zone when it really mattered.
