Reports: Jon Bostic Traded to New England Patriots

The Chicago Bears already made one trade on Monday as they sent linebacker Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers, and G.M. Ryan Pace has reportedly pulled the trigger on another move as he sent linebacker Jon Bostic to the New England Patriots.

ESPN’s Field Yates and ESPN Chicago’s Jeff Dickerson were the first to report the trade:

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bears will get a sixth round pick in compensation for Bostic. They also got a sixth round pick from the Panthers in the trade that sent Allen to Carolina:

Bostic, who was drafted by the Bears in 2013, has missed all three games this season and only started in half of the team’s games in 2014. In 29 career NFL games, Bostic has 103 tackles, two sacks, and four passes defended.

The Bears have already made a trade with the Patriots this season, sending offensive lineman Ryan Groy to New England in a preseason swap.
