Like any engaged couple, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are starting to get gifts for their upcoming nuptials. As Grizzly Detail mentioned last week, the QB and the reality TV star are registered at Crate and Barrel and William-Sonoma. Since those registries are public, anyone can buy the pair a gift and ship it off to them.
That's exactly what one football fan did. Deadspin reports that a man who bought a gift for Jeff Garcia splurged on the Granada shot glasses that were sent to Cavallari.
Initially we had our sights set on the beer mugs at Crate and Barrel, but I checked the registry on Sunday and they were already fulfilled. So I bought the next best thing...8 Granada shot glasses. They shipped yesterday, so I'm guessing the lovely couple will be receiving 8 shot glasses from 3 jackasses in the next day or two.
Mr. and Mrs. Garcia sent a handwritten thank you note to James and his friends. Something tells me that a nice Midwestern boy like Jay and a well-bred Orange County-er like Kristin will have the same set of manners.
If you want to get in on the fun and send the couple a gift from their registry, act soon. Many items from the registry, including the beer mugs and sausage stuffer, have been fulfilled. Another option is to make a donation to the Jay Cutler Six Foundation, Cutler's charity that fights diabetes.
