Jay Cutler's status for Sunday's game at Carolina has been in question ever since he was pulled from last Sunday's loss to the Giants. In that game, Cutler was sacked nine times and left at half time with a concussion. Since then, the Bears have played coy when discussing if Cutler would start against the Panthers.
That coyness continued on Wednesday. Cutler didn't have the press conference he normally has on Wednesdays, but he did participate in limited team drills. ESPN Chicago reported this morning that Cutler is expected to play on Sunday, but the official line on the quarterback is "limited."
Cutler's girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari, is mute on the subject.
The Bears aren't required to submit a line-up to the NFL until 90 minutes before kick-off. Though it is expected that the Bears will give word later this week, we may learn just how well Lovie Smith can play coy.
