Cutler, Jeffery Ruled Out for Sunday vs. Seahawks

The Chicago Bears are facing a monumental task on Sunday when they take on the Seattle Seahawks, but they'll be facing an even stiffer test as quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery have been ruled out of the game.

Cutler, who was injured last week in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals, will miss the game after dealing with a hamstring injury this week. Jeffery, who missed last week's game after missing all of the preseason with a calf injury, will remain out of the lineup against Seattle as well.

Jimmy Clausen will start in place of Cutler at quarterback on Sunday, with David Fales serving as the back-up. Clausen started one game for the Bears in the 2014 season, throwing for 181 yards and two touchdowns in a 20-14 loss to the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field.

The Bears will continue to try to cobble together a receiving corps with Jeffery out of the lineup again. Marquess Wilson and Eddie Royal will likely get the start as the outside receivers, and Cameron Meredith will likely take Jeffery's place on the 45-man gameday roster.
