Gabe Carimi's knee might not be as mangled as originally thought. Only slightly mangled.
Early reports said the rookie right tackle had suffered a dislocated knee during the game against the New Olreans Saints Sunday. But ESPN Chicago reports the young blocker has a subluxation or dislocated kneecap.
The difference is profound.
Carimi's status for Sunday against the Green Bay Packers is still up in the air, but the news means he likely won't have to miss up to a month of games as previously thought.
Jay Cutler should thank the knee gods for that one.
