Bears Support Concussion Legislation

Chicago's City Council passed legislation in January that would penalize schools that allow students who show signs of concussion to continue playing.

The Chicago legislation would make schools responsible for their water and sewage bills -- no small fee -- if they are found to put kids in dangerous situations.

Today, state legislators joined with members of the Chicago Bears organization to push a similar law across the entire state.

Senators Tom Cross and Kwame Raoul Friday discussed the legislation, which is currently moving through the Illinois General Assembly.
