The Chicago Blackhawks took over Soldier Field on Saturday night, beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1. The nearly 63,000 fans in the stands enjoyed the game quite a bit, but they weren’t the only ones to watch the spectacle, as Soldier Field’s regular tenants watched the game.
Several Chicago Bears players were watching the contest on television, and they shared their thoughts on Twitter. Offensive lineman Jordan Mills was among those checking out the game:
Who in #Chicago is watching this hockey game at #soldierfield ?! #Blackhawks — Jordan Mills (@JordanMills_67) March 2, 2014
His partner in crime Kyle Long was also watching the game, but the Blackhawks’ impressive victory ended up leaving him wanting to score some points of his own:
I wanna score a TD at soldier field haha @MattForte22 can we workout a lateral kinda deal — Kyle Long (@Ky1eLong) March 2, 2014

Kicker Robbie Gould probably summed up the emotion of a lot of fans when he made a suggestion to NHL schedulemakers:
I think this @NHLBlackhawks @SoldierField should be an annual event. #StadiumSeriesChicago — Robbie Gould (@RobbieGould09) March 2, 2014
For the record, the Blackhawks’ attendance at the game was 62,921. The attendance for the Bears’ December game against the Packers? 62,708.
