Bears' Lovie Smith Supports Obama Re-election

Chicago Bears' head coach Lovie Smith recently threw his support behind President Barack Obama's re-election in a campaign video to help get out the African-American vote.

"I'm pleased with where we are now," Smith says in a YouTube video. "The President has done so much -- health care, in the Iraq war, new jobs."

A big part of Obama's re-election strategy has been to energize people who voted for him four years ago. Smith, who says he trusts "the man that will be leading us," seems to front part of that campaign, directing voters to the website AfricanAmericans.BarackObama.com.

"I have the President's back, it's up to us as African Americans to show that we have his back also," Smith said in the video.

How well Smith's endorsement will play in Green Bay or Minnesota is another matter.
