Bears Agree to One-Year Deal With QB Josh McCown

The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with veteran quarterback Josh McCown, the team announced Friday.

McCown has been on the team’s roster for the last two seasons, signing with the team in November 2011 and playing only three games that season.

The third-string quarterback sat behind Jay Cutler and backup Jason Campbell last season, but received no playing time.

He was originally released Aug. 31 because, at the time, three quarterbacks was a luxury for the team, but was re-signed after Cutler was injured with a concussion in November.
