Briggs Bows Out of Pro Bowl

No reason given for linebacker's absence

Perhaps he just doesn't like Hawaii?

Chicago Bears defensive stalwart Lance Briggs has once again declined an invitation to play in the Pro Bowl.

The game is scheduled for January 29th in Oahu. Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway will play for the NFC roster in Briggs' place.

No specific reason was given for Briggs' absence, although he was nursing an ankle issue toward the end of the season.

It's the fifth time in his career that he's declined to play in the game. Brian Urlacher also will not play in the game due to an injury suffered in the final game.
