Global Conflicts Bring Global Foods to Pittsburgh's Conflict Kitchen

Pittsburgh locals are feeling anything but conflicted over its popular takeout storefront, Conflict Kitchen, where cuisine rotates in accordance with the country that's currently in conflict with the USA. The restaurant was created by local artists and students whose goal is to initiate conversation and awareness about more than the food itself. In two four-month rotation periods, they have already introduced long lines of diners to Afghani bolani, Iranian kubideh, and currently, patrons can indulge in arepas from Venezuela.  Now, didn't mom always say never to talk politics at the dinner table?

Unique dining is on the menu this week! Catch an all-new 1st Look Saturday after “Saturday Night Live” on NBC.
