1st Look Loves: Long Beach Brunches

We know that city-dwellers often seek the sea when it's the weekend during the summer. But just because it's sunny, doesn't mean you should leave your city brunch-ing habits behind. In Long Beach, NY, there are incredible brunch options in the sun.

Eat Like the Locals
Most would describe A Whale's Tale as Long Beach's local dive and it'd be meant in the best way possible. Here, the second you walk in, you're welcomed by this city's people, young and old, and the restaurant's underwater motif. Day to night, there's truly not an item to be missed on the menu. But it's always fun to go to a local watering hole first thing on the weekend. The breakfast burritos are a surfer's delight and they serve a mighty fine bloody mary that's nice and spicy. But really, how could it get much better than the crabcakes benedict for breakfast?

Make your Brunch Bottomless
As one of the newer restaurants in the area, Blue Point quickly put itself on the map with its creative menu starring the town's best catch. But this season, they debuted their weekend brunch which features a typical brunch spread from breakfast favorites to sandwiches and more. Most importantly, this brunch is bottomless. Have your pick of unlimited mimosas, bloody mary's, screwdrivers, or their beloved red and white sangria.

Dine in the Sky
Allegria Hotel's rooftop brunch is a brunch brought to new heights. On Sundays, for $65, you can chow down on unlimited proportions of some of the island's finest dishes. Plus, you get exquisite oceanfront views atop the Allegria Hotel rooftop. Eat all day from six stations of crepes, sushi, frittatas, salads, and shellfish, in addition to their signature dishes like the incredible Corn Flake-Crusted Challah French Toast and Eggs Benedict with Hanger Steak & Smoked Chili Hollandaise.
