There'll be a bunch of Elvis impersonators on hand for "Elvis Fest."

If you're lonesome on the night of Jan. 8, get yourself all shook up at Elvis Fest. You can thank us very much later.

A local bar has found a unique way to celebrate "The King's" birthday.

Elvis would have turned 74 on Jan. 8, and to celebrate, The Original Mother's (26 West Division St.), is throwing an Elvis Fest.

Throughout the night, tribute artists will take to the stage to perform classic Elvis tracks.

Event emcee Sergio Interial predicts a whole lotta shakin' will be going on.

"Girls here act the same as they did back when Elvis was alive," Interial said. "They cry and jump after scarves the performers wipe their brow with."

An Elvis-look-alike contest will also be held for a chance to win a trip for two to a destination organizers promise will be warm.

Other festivities include Elvis karaoke and live portrait paintings of Elvis on 4 foot by 5 foot canvases to the beat of Elvis songs by "E" of ArtBeat Live!

The free peanut butter and banana buffet is included with the suggested $5 cover charge, and $5 Absolut "All Shook Up" cocktails will be the featured drink of the evening.

Trust us -- you'll be anything but lonesome on this night.
