What's old always becomes new again, but will that be the case with bingo?

Bingo is a game most people associate with their grandparents, smoke-filled rooms and church basements, but a local wine bar is trying to bring bingo back in a big way.

Bucktown's bin wine cafe (1559 N. Milwaukee Ave.), is kicking off the new year with B-I-N-G-O Sundays.

Starting Jan. 11 and every Sunday from 6:30 - 9 p.m., you can claim your seat and compete in a fierce game of bingo against your fellow comrades. Of course, plenty of wine will be involved.

Prizes -- aside from bragging rights -- include bottles of wine, wine gadgets, gift certificates and items from Bucktown retailers.

A minimum food and drink purchase of $20 is required to play.

The wine cafe is also offering its signature half-pound "Top Ten" Burger for only $5 on Tuesdays starting in the new year. This burger was rated one of the best "classic" burgers in Chicago by Time Out, so Tuesday would definitely be the night to try it out. Unless of course you've got a hankering for some bingo instead.
