Bespoke Cuisine hosts March "Mix it Up" cooking parties

Looking for something different to do for a fun night out with friends this month? Bespoke Cuisine, a boutique catering and culinary services company located in the West Loop, is offering two March "Mix it Up" classes, where they plan the menu and you do the cooking. Both beginners and experienced cooks are welcome to try their hand during these interactive gourmet experiences. During the "Mix it Up" parties, you'll stir things up in the kitchen, and then sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor in a communal dinner in Bespoke's loft-like private dining room.

On tap for March are two seasonal sessions: "Irish Small Plates" on Monday, March 16 and "Best of Spring" on Wednesday, March 25. During the "Irish Small Plates" party, you'll learn how to make eight Celtic favorites, such as mini beef and Guinness pies, mini corned beef and cabbage "sammies" and Bushmills bread pudding, all with a modern, gourmet twist. For the "Best of Spring" soiree, you'll put together a four-course menu using seasonal ingredients, such as spring pea soup sips with pea shoots and creme fraiche drizzle, stone-ground mustard-marinated grilled baby lamb chops and seared wild salmon with asparagus and roasted carrot-spring onion quinoa.

Both classes take place from 6:30-9:30PM at Bespoke Cuisine's headquarters at 1358 W. Randolph St. The cost is $80 per person (or $120 for two during a spring special), which includes a cheese appetizer, cooking instruction, dinner and a recipe packet to take home. Soft drinks are provided, and the "Mix it Up" parties are BYOB. Advance registration is required; call 312-455-8400 or email info@bespokecuisine.com.
