You watched him debut, debate and, eventually, declare victory in Grant Park. But, there's a side of President-elect Barack Obama you've never seen -- his inner foodie.

Now you will.

Obama was a guest on WTTW's Check, Please! way back when, but the show never aired. He and two others discussed the Hyde Park haunt, Dixie Kitchen and Bait Shop. (But the other guests were pretty mum, apparently, and the footage hit the cutting room floor.)

Given Obama's new job, the station will broadcast that episode on January 16th. (Set those DVRs!) It was filmed during the show's first season with Amanda Puck.

Kind of makes you want to try harder to get on the air with Alpana now, doesn't it?
