The term "body art" often refers to tattoos, but a Chicago artist is taking body art to a whole new level.
Allison Weston started face painting peoples' faces in 1996, but six years ago started creating stunning designs on entire bodies.
Weston is quick to differentiate her designs from the body painted models you often see in nightclubs from her more intricate designs that can take up to eight long hours to complete.
"(The hardest part) is the time it takes to paint. Sometimes your back is twisted and that can be difficult for that length of time," Weston said. "The skin also moves, unlike a flat canvas that is very still. The body is moving and the skin pulls and twists."
Weston often does designs for Hubbard Street Dance, but she is available for house calls.
