Cupid only has so many arrows, so not everyone is feels the love for Valentine's Day. If you aren't in a romantic mood on the 14th check out these Anti-Valentine's Day activities.
If going out for a romantic dinner is way too cliche on Valentine’s Day, try Brownstone Tavern and Grill's (3927 N. Lincoln) Drunk Love! event from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. A $25 cover gets you all you can drink. No word if this also comes with complimentary beer goggles.
The Schoolyard Tavern and Grill (3258 N. Southport) is saying "F**K Valentine’s Day" -- literally. The "lonely bear" will be handing out free shots, hugs and condoms. For more information call (773) 528-8226.
Are you trying to recuperate from a rocky relationship? Check out "Love on the Rocks" at J Bar (610 North Rush Street) from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. The free party will include voodoo dolls and a screening of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." The Cobra Lounge (235 North Ashland) is hosting a St. Valentine's Day Massacre party on Friday the Thirteenth starting at 9 p.m. The party will feature a burlesque show with Miss Maya Sinstress and Kendra James, Playboy's ex girl-next-door. There will also be a virtual freak show where The Reverend B. Dangerous will drive nails into his anatomy while heavy metal bands play music sure to cure whatever ails your broken heart.
