For many seasoned night owls, Sunday is the best night of the week to venture out. You don't have the hordes of weekend warriors from Friday and Saturday nights, but it's also not Monday. Here's where to drain the last drop out of the weekend.

For more than 20 years, Sunday night has meant one thing to any hipster worth his/her salt: the Uptown Poetry Slam at the Green Mill. Hosted by the founder of the poetry slam himself, Marc Smith, the Green Mill's weekly presentation of performance poetry draws one of the most eclectic and fascinating crowds in the city. The evening includes an open mic portion, scheduled performers and a slam competition. Better bring your A game. 7PM, $6.

We've reported on Delilah's movie nights before, but Sunday nights bring John Waters' classics to this Lakeview hangout, which, in our humble opinion, bears another mention. Tonight's cinematic gem is "Cry-Baby," featuring a pompadoured Johnny Depp as Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker. Pure heaven.

Get juiced for Thanksgiving at "Baking with Bertha," a one-man improv show starring local actor and pastry chef Michael Bowen as Bertha Mason, who is basically your batty aunt. Bowen offers up cooking demos, highly inappropiate lovelife tips and an honest-to-goodness bake sale at Mary's Attic, upstairs from Hamburger Mary's in Andersonville (7:30-8:30PM, $10). Afterwards, stick around for MaryOke!, Mary's Attic's campy karaoke show (9PM-1:30AM).
