David Schwimmer is in 'Our Town'

Who says Chicago doesn't get its fair share of celebrity sightings? 

Heat up this soon-to-be-record-breaking snow-covered winter with tickets to see one of the Windy City's favorite sons. Everyone's good old “Friend” David Schwimmer is back in his hometown to perform at Lookingglass Theatre, of which he is a co-founder. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. for Lookingglass' adaptation of Thornton Wilder's 'Our Town,' directed by 2008 Tony Award-winning Steppenwolf Ensemble Member Anna D. Shapiro ('August: Osage County') and Steppenwolf Artistic Associate Jessica Thebus.  The production is scheduled to run Feb. 11- April 5.

Tickets, $30-$60, are available online, by phone, (312-337-0665); or at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson.

This American classic gets the special Lookingglass treatment with its ensemble cast that includes Thomas J. Cox (Ensemble), Christine Mary Dunford (Mrs. Webb), Laura Eason (Emily Webb), Raymond Fox (Ensemble), David Catlin (Dr. Gibbs), David Kersnar (Simon Stimson), David Schwimmer (George Gibbs), Joey Slotnick (Stage Manager), Heidi Stillman (Mrs. Gibbs), Tracy Walsh (Ensemble), and Andrew White (Mr. Webb), and Artistic Associates Kevin Douglas (Ensemble) and Louise Lamson (Rebecca Gibbs).
