A suburban 9-year-old is making his film debut in an R-rated horror movie set to be released in theaters this Friday.
But The Beacon News reports that Ethan Cutkosky, of St. Charles, isn't at all like he appears on the silver screen.
In "The Unborn," Ethan plays a dead child so tainted with evil that he is denied entrance to heaven, according to the production company, Rogue Pictures. For the demon's survival, it must endlessly wander the borderlands between worlds, desperately searching for a new body to inhabit.

"It was two hours in the makeup chair," the youngster told the paper.
Ethan's parents, Yvonne and David Cutkosky, said their son auditioned twice for the part and was notified within days that he landed the role. Filming for the movie began last March at several locations in Chicago, including on Michigan Avenue, and ended in early May.
But while moviegoers jump in their seats as they watch the fright flick, Ethan will be at home building his college fund.
