Burglars broke into Ald. Ricardo Munoz's office Wednesday night taking a window air conditioning unit and other electronics, officials said.
The incident occurred overnight between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. on the 2500 block of South St. Louis, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Workers arrived and discovered that someone had picked the lock of the office door, the report said.
The burglars escaped with the window air conditioning unit from Ald. Munoz’s office, said the report. They also stole about $2,500 worth of electronics including a desktop computer from the first floor of the office along with two laptop computers and a TV set from the second floor, according to the report.
